Area leaders want Gen Z to know Greater Lafayette is where they should live and work. Representatives from the Subaru of Indiana Automotive and Conexus Indiana on Wednesday unveiled Conexus’ first grassroot program for their Make IN Move campaign.
The campaign aims to inspire and educate the younger generation of opportunities in Indiana’s advanced manufacturing and logistical fields. Generation Z – Gen Z – is defined as those born between 1997 and 2012. According to Conexus Indiana, the average salary for careers in these industries range from $65,000-$75,000.
Lafayette was selected as one of the first community to pilot a grassroot method of reaching out to Gen Z and raising awareness of the thousands of opportunities of gainful employment with these career paths.
