Nissan is announcing the retirement of two leaders in the manufacturing team for its Americas region. Mark Swenson, vice president of Decherd Powertrain Operations, and Mike Steck, vice president of Supply Chain Management, will retire on March 31. Succeeding Swenson as vice president of Decherd Powertrain Operations is Tracy Church, currently senior director of Parts and Production Control. Church will take leadership of Nissan's powertrain operations in the U.S., marking the first time a woman has been appointed to the role. Church joined Nissan in 1995, holding roles of increasing responsibility within the company's manufacturing operations.
