Lila Nieves-Lee

Vice President of Government Affairs

Lila serves as Vice President of Government for Autos Drive America.  In her role, she leads federal and state engagement on a range of issues impacting the automotive manufacturing industry.  She previously served as Policy Advisor to U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and the Committee on Finance.  In addition, Lila as served as Staff Director to the Senate Banking Financial Institutions and Consumer Protection Subcommittee under Chairman Scott.

While in the Senate, she handled issues relating to Banking, Housing, & Urban Affairs; Commerce, Science, and Transportation; as well as trade and defense.  Prior to assuming her role with Sen. Scott, she served as a political appointee in the Executive Office of the President, Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.  There she served as Director of Congressional Affairs and worked with Congressional Members and staff throughout the NAFTA/USMCA and KORUS renegotiation processes to achieve congressional priorities and satisfy Administration goals. 

A native of California, Lila started her career with the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and later joined the House Ways and Means Committee. She earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University.
